My car just passed with the front two cats hollowed out.Its a stock 4 cat h-pipe with 10 year old factory cats.And it was well within spec too.

Most cars pass with catted midpipes. Ive known of quite a bit of people to pass with longtubes and cats too.(Obviously) over looking a visual inspection

My Explorer had 2 cats and one was bad, it always passed smog.

96-98 GT's come with a 6 cat h-pipe.... All bad, if you want to replace.

My tacoma passes with a bad cat, and my old ws6 passed with longs tubes and hiflow cats.

Couldn't pass with catted x pipe. Stock heads, cams, and headers on 04 Cobra.

Reason is the newer cars aren't allowed the pollution percentages that the older cars emit. Therefore they load them up with 4-6 cats to get them to pass the allowed emmisions...
