What exactly will i need? The rear end probably has like 176k mi on it (91 GT 5.0), and probably has never seen a mechanic...

After researching, im assuming all i'll need are these kits for a healthy rebuild?

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-4209FRC-K/Mustang-88-410-Ratio-Rear-End-Gear-Kit

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/M4700C/Mustang-88-Traction-Lok-Rebuild-Kit-with-Carbon-Discs

FYI Stock motor, not puttin down serious HP

*i just called rear end specialties in santa clara, and they quoted me 945 plus tax on a complete rebuild including the gears and traction lok. labor included as well...

sounds kinda high...?

Dan just did a complete rebuild on my 89 lx. Couldn't be happier. He knows his stuff for sure. You might want to look into new axles also since you have such high mileage. My lx has 137k and they were toast.

thanks for the heads up ssf50 on that pinion flange bro!

and as far as the axles...is there a way to eyeball the axles or find out if they need to be replaced without pulling them out?
