Not quite as complete as the factory 5 Shelby cars for the price, but I know if I had the $ I'd do it. Those will sell.

I bought a hood for my '65 from them and it was an inch too short. I don't think I would trust a body from them. I do like the idea though.

that's cause you have to buy the whole car.... Then it's all an inch short. [Eek!]

They seem to be a good buy considering it's a solid base to build from.

Ever restore a rust bucket? You can easily spend more than that if you're paying someone else to do the work and you'll probably end up using aftermarket pans and panels anyways.

+1 look at that body, not a single panel lines up properly

15k for a plain coupe shell is not worth it. check craigslist and grab two piece of shit coupes and build the cleaner of the two using the other donor car for original steel not that cheap paper thin tin metal they use for reproduction parts

When the fastback bodys first came out they did a comparison between a real 67 fastback and the new shell..... The shell had thicker metal in key places, it uses a vert one piece seat platform.... I'll try and find the article and post it up.
(edit) here's the link http://www.mustangandfords.com/techarticles/body/mufp_0707_dynacorn_1967_ford_mustang_fastback_replacement_body/viewall.html
Like Wolfie said. It's gonna cost the average person alot of time and money to fix a rusty car, I had to replace both inner and outer Q panels on my fastback from rust. It's almost impossible to find a rust free car from the 60's

Just my .02

I doubt it. I just don't "get" the point here. It makes sense to build a kit Cobra because the real ones are so rare and unattainable from a price perspective. Ford built millions of Mustangs and there are plenty of complete, solid cars for far less money than you would spend by going that route.

I would assume that for some peeps its a matter of convenience to buy something that is fresh vs than buying someone else's mess/abandon project!

When i got my camaro it was tore up and the more I got into it the more I realized how much more work I had to do! Plus you're working on something that is completely clean and you're not spending extra time breaking it down, you're just assembling it.
[burnout]
