Just got a 2012 5.0 and loving it. Im still breaking it in and was wondering what else to do. Already ordered full exhaust (Borla catback and off road x) and my suspension KW V3 coil overs. Just wondering if you guys can give me some input. Im trying to find out which intake is the best because as soon as I get that Im going to have it tuned. If you guys could let me know what other mods would be good. Been out of stangs for a while so Im kind of out of the loop.

Does anyone know who is doing tuning for these yet. I thought about going to AED but I would like to find somewhere local to get a baseline before my mods and after.

go to tpsmotorsports n campbell for a base line or nextgen n hayward i think they do dyno pulls i could be wrong tho, but tps does

Thats true, I had 4.10s on my 2001 saleen and it was a pain in the ass shifting all the time. I might actually look into that now. Thanks [Wink]

Also alot of the JLT's intakes say needs a tune. Can I put it on and drive for a while without a tune or is that a bad idea?

Thats true, I had 4.10s on my 2001 saleen and it was a pain in the ass shifting all the time. I might actually look into that now. Thanks [Wink]

you can order the one with the sct kit (tuner n intak) your going to need it regardless if your going to get it dyno tuned, if not you should be good you just wont feel th hp difference

Take it to Ditos Motors South San Francisco. They have already tuned a few new 5.0's. Ask for Rob

Does ford offer the "red" key like they do for the boss? I would hold off on the tune and save for a blower.

The "red key" was only offered on the boss package. Essentially what it does is adjust the pcm and basically recalibrates the vehicle as a race car. Adjusting fuel, cam timing, engine braking and other aspects giving it more lower end torque and better performance.

AED is doing amazing things with these. Just an intake, exhaust and tune cars are putting down 410+ RWHP. Shawn is, from what I have read, one of the best in the country with the new 5.0
