So I been looking into getting a use f150 just to move shit around. From 93-2000 v6 or v8 how reliable are the 4.6 v8 trucks?

they are pretty reliable we have a work truck 2000 4.6 and got it 97000 and right now it has 278000 with no major problems just maintnace

I had a 4.3 l v6 with a manual trans and drove it for 150k miles.. only problem i had was a coil pack went out... The truck would pull my 18 ft. boat around pretty good. I would stay away from the 5.4l also had one of those and it lost 3 spark plugs before 70k miles.

4.2 4.6 & 5.4 are all great motors..... My 04 3v 5.4 just turned 215,000 HARD miles.... Regular oil changes and couple batteries.
