bought a new in box sprint htc hero..tried activating it but they said this phone was reported lost or stolen so i couldnt activate it..they said contact the previous owner n tell em to call n remove the flag sum shit..bt that fag isnt answering..was an older white guy n a nice lifted deasil truck so didnt think much...any way to get this phone to be activated? jail break? lmk thanks

how much did you paid? is funny I just remeber when I used to sell cell pone at our store we were always missing the dummy fake phones and lot of people tought they were real...lol
I wonder if any of them tried getting a line
anywayz sucks bro one time I remember we had a lost phone god thing we had the ESN# and reported stolen so new owner couldnt activate it.

I paid 125..yea dude seemed like he wouldnt pull a suker move like that so i jus made sure it did work..bt wasnt enough he was asking 150 he was tryna hustle me still bt i got em dwn to 125...any way i can avitate it if it was reported lost or missing?

You might be able to get it unlocked and use it with another carrier. What would he gain reporting it stolen though, unless he filed an insurance claim and got another one but who knows.

my gf works for verizon. this type of shit happens all the time. ppl report their phone stolen and then sell it for market value and turn around and insurance claim for a new one for only $40-$100 and pocket the rest.ppl are broke these days, anything for a buck. sorry bro but he got over!!

when i used to work at westfeild valley fair mall in san jose there was a keosk there that unlocked phones they were on the first floor by bose east indian guy with bad teeth he was the one hookin it up good luck.

Alright so this is the thing. I deal with cell phones and mustang parts on craigslist all day more cell than parts. To your answer the only thing you could do with rhat phone is to go a main center metro pcs store and flash it to get metro service secondly you can also root if you Want. Also when you bought the phone sprint does have a number to which you call and see if its lost or stolen, or you couldve took it to any sprnt store they wouldve done it free!!! But you do get scammers on cl. Since I have access to skip tracing websites (im a PI) shoot me his # and I will tell you where he lives, will run the plate on his truck and tell you his real name. Then I will people search his ass and retrieve his SSN?. If you want to go that route, let me know.

Same thing happened to my friend. He waited thirty days and took it to Sprint in Vallejo and they activated it. Two other stores told him no. You have to be persistent. Don't give up and take some time to call or go to the right places.
