So, I know 20" wheels aren't too popular among the mustang community, most make them look like scrapers, but hear me out and give me your opinion and advice.
I don't think I've heard of a Cobra with this wheel setup so I think it would look good but need some feedback. I was thinking of grabbing a set of staggered 2010 Saleen Extreme wheels (20x9 & 20x10), getting the rears widened to 11", powdercoating them black, running 315/35/20 and 3/8" spacers in the rear and my car is on H&R Race.
Here's a link to the wheels

With the right stance I think you could pull of 20s on a new edge style mustang. If it's an sn95 I think 20s look a little too big.

LOL, are you sure its an 03 cobra? The worst that can happen is it looks like a scraper and you have to sell the rims at a possible discount.

So your plan is to buy 2010 wheels which have the wrong offset for your 03, then pay to have them widened, then pay to have them powdercoated, then buy spacers? F*** man that's a lot of legwork why don't you just call true forged and have them build you a set of 20's that will fit perfect!

I'm not a big fan of those wheels but if you have the right stance then I'm sure you can pull it off. Being that the front runs will be that big, you're going to need to drop it pretty low for it to look good. The fronts will need to almost tuck slightly into the front fenders and the rear should be dropped so there is no gap. Good luck! Doing something different is always good!

Way to big, will make the car ghetto fabulous. There is a reason you dont see it done much on Mustangs with that body style. Because it looks out of proportion. I have seen TrueForged 19"s on a cobra and they looked at home, but 20's is pushin it.

Personally I would get a set of 18"s and lower the car. They will tuck in nicely and the car will have a great looking stance.
If you want to go with 20's I would take a look at a Cobra that already has them so you can see for yourself if you like them or not

Um...TrueForged wheels are a grip. I'd be able to do this setup for 1500 with tires...so its not cheap, but about half the price for a set of TF wheels alone.
If the stance is right, I think it would look good. Not trying to compare my car to a vette, but that car is way smaller than Cobras and they run 20x12 in the rear, or is it 19x12? I don't remember, but get you my point. I don't think the offsets are too off.
Thanks for everyone's input. [ October 28, 2010, 09:34 PM: Message edited by: 03RedfireSVT ]

Im usually not a big fan of 20's on pre 05 mustangs, but I think with the right stance, those wheels would look sick on a Cobra. Unfortunately the offset is way off, so its not worth the hassle IMO. [ October 28, 2010, 11:43 PM: Message edited by: *EPIK* ]
