Call Shaun @ AED and see how much it would cost you to get a motor built from him. Better have one built locally in case there are any problems.

+1 dealing locally with a reputable shop always has its benefits if something ever goes wrong or you need help. Plus there's so many horror stories of shortblocks getting received with incorrect clearances etc. But if you can catch a smoking deal

Either have one built locally or throw in a used longblock.

I agree with John, after 2 custom built motors that had to be rebuilt several times because they weren't done right, I started buying used motors that were street tested for about 25% of the price. Go with someone's lightly used motor and you'll get a better deal, and if it doesn't work out, you still have a lot of money left over to do it again.

First To buy and 03-04 Cobra motor and get it put in and modified, it might cust you more then 5K,

I would call Shaun at AED, and talk to him, he has built lots of cars here and no complaints from anyone, I'm sure for 5K or little less he can built you something nice!

Good Luck!
