Hey folks, going on a week long vacation for a friend's destination wedding in Hawaii. I'm going to spend 3 days in Oahu and 3 days in Maui.
Oahu - wedding, parasailing, snorkling, hikings
Maui - road to Hana, black sand beach, Molokini snorkling and kayaking
Any other "must-do" events while in Oahu or Maui?
What are the best nightlife scenes in Oahu? Best restaurants?
I have a Jeep Wrangler rented so the Hana drive should be fun.
Thanks guys!

You should head up country on Maui. When you do the road to Hana, make a stop off in Kula and have either dinner or lunch at Kula Lodge. The food is good. The view is excellent.
If you go over to Kula, head up to Haleakala to see the crater. Its amazing.
I've also done deep sea fishing off Maui. that was a lot of fun.
The aquarium is great if you have kids.
Whaler's Village does have some of the best food on the island.

I don't reccommend the booze cruise in Maui in Lahaina. It was nicknamed to "vomit comet". Half of the ship was throwing up over the side. Plus the drinks were all pre-mixed (mai tai, lahaina sunset, and blue hawaiians). When they hand out ginger pills as you board the ship, you know you're in trouble! On a side note, try going to a Luau. Also, to the south of the island there is a town called Waileia. They had a cool nightclub. The island does seem to shut down after 10.

On Oahu, check out Waikiki. Nice beaches with all the hotels lined up and plenty of shopping only a couple streets over. The Pink Palace on waikiki beach has a luau that's pretty cool with fire dancers and girls in grass skirts. The Sheridan is next door to the Pink Palace and has some killer drinks. The polynesian cultural center is good if your bringing kids with you. There's also Pearl Harbor to check out. These would give you a good feel for the island. You really cant go wrong with whatever you pick on that island.
If you go downtown to the business district you can see all the iceheads and check out Dog the Bounty Hunters shop. There is the queens palace down there too. Kind of a boring tour though.
