Just waindering how wide of a tire can fit on a rim that's 8.5" wide. If you have pics please post up also. Thanks!

It depends on the tire. I know BFG has a chart on their web site that lists min & max tire size for specific rims size.

Here you go.

i had 265-35-18 BFG KD's on my 18X8.5 BBS RK Plasma. Little bubble but i wouldn't go any bigger. 275/285 NO WAY!

I just replaced the tires to 245-40-18 BFG KDW. Perfect fit. no bubble at all.

I have the same wheels. I have Pirelli 255/40/18 in the front. I think a 245 would work well also.

ive seen ppl squeeze 315s on their 9s so why not? LOL

id go with anything from a 245 to 265 depending on what aspect ratio works for your setup. ideally, id throw on a 255 on it.

Damn 315 on a 9" forreal?!?! I'd like to see that!

Anyone have any pics of something like a 275 or higher on a 8.5" wide rim?

245-40-18 is the widest I'd put on it.

But this is cafords, the possibilities are endless. Remember, it does not have to be safe or make sense.

I say be the first to do a 345-30-18 on your 18x8.5's.

Best of luck! [patriot]
