I am at 26.5" with a 275/40/17 and H&R SS Springs and would like to go lower, but man, the exhaust clearance is already limited.

Luke, when I get the chance I can check - but I have Eibach sportlines (the red ones) and the guy previous to me cut them so they sit even lower. It sucks, I rub on everything from tires to bumps in the road when I drive in the local hills. My flowmaster catback won't fit without rattling on the rear end. I say leave it [Smile]

Wait, wouldn't a more accurate measure be from top of fender arch to center of hub to measure drop height?

Hey Luke, mine rides at Front 25.5". 245/40/18 Rear 26.5" 275/35/18 on BBK specific springs. No rubbing what so ever. Not the smoothest ride but new Struts will help that.

If you want to take the tire diameter out of the equation you are absolutely right. However, I am more interested to know how low the front of your car is to the ground independent of tire size and how much clearance your exhaust has.

This thread needs some pics... Here is a crappy cell phone shot, but I will begin:

Front: 26.50"
Rear: 26.75"

 -

I'd like to be
Front: 25.75"
Rear: 26.25"

im running h&r sports w/ front and rear urethane isolators.
26" front and 26.75" rears

what xpipe do u have cuz how well it tucks varies drastically from brand to brand.
exhaust clearance is pretty good and ive only scraped on the most extreme driveway/bumps

What size tires you got?
I am using the stock exhaust system with new FORD motor mounts. Have a BBK H-pipe going on soon.

im running 26" tall rears and 25.6" fronts.
might want to look into bbk mid pipes as ive read that they hang lower than other mid pipes like bassani and magnaflow. i originally had a catted slp xpipe and that sucker sat so low no matter how i tried to orient the pipe. i now run a cheaper upr that tucks real nicely.

Thanks!
Yup, trying something different.
I can see myself owning them for about 6 months, and then I'll likely be letting them go and trying something else (03-04 Cobras or 18" Chrome Saleens). Trying to have new shoes on the Cobra every few months [Wink]

I love rims, so I can't be limited to just one set forever, lol.

I have to correct myself. I just went into the garage and remeasured...

front: 26.75"
rear: 27.0"

Once the foxbody Tokicos come in (shorter than SN allowing for more bump travel), I will go ahead and drop it to

front: 26.0-26.25"
Rear: 26.5"

My front sits at 25.75" no isolators and my rear is at 28" (yikes)..with urethane isolators - H&R SS springs. All with Tokico blues(HP)...all from StangSuspension. My cats on my upr x-pipe hangs too low and scrapes on speed bumps. oh yeah...on 18's.

StangSuspension is out of business. They had good prices.
