High NO - high combustion temps - retard timing, check EGR for operation.
High CO - EGR isn't working - fix it.
High HC - fuel mixture too rich - check O2 sensors, smog pump, and cats. Clean MAF element.

? I thought the CO measured .01 on both tests.
HC looks a little high did your car fail or pass?

My car barely passed. I measured the maximum amount for HC. The Co's did measure .01 but that is way way less than the maximum acceptable limit of .5 or whatever it is.

I thought it passed buy looking at the numbers. If you had any real problems you would have failed.

Yah it passed but just barely. One more unit of HC and I would have failed. I am guessing my car is running rich so I will do the cheap stuff first. Check timing, clean Maf. If that doesnt help ill check into the 02s, cats, etc.
