Topic: My vert is up and running!

Well I guess my o3 sonic blue vert has been trashed a bit lately on this site. But thanks to Drew and Shaun it is up and running beautifully.I have to break in the motor and get a final dynotune and then it will be off to Sac Raceway when it cools down a bit to see how it does.If all goes well it should be a monster but its all talk until we run it. So far I am exremely happy.

Congrats!!! I have been hearin alot about your vert from BotiH8er...Sounds like it will definately be a monster.

It's pullied for 24psi, but who knows what boost it'll make till we get it on the dyno. The new motor breaths a bit better than a stocker.
The KB inlets are so damn restrictive we cut it open, ported it, then had a plate made (raised the roof of the inlet) & welded it back together. The inlet is ~50% bigger than a stock KB.
Ported heads, larger valves, larger exhaust & a little more cubes.... That motor sucks some serious air.

Stock HO Cobra.
Never seen one fail on it's own.
All pump gear failures I've seen (including one billet gear pump) were from lightweight underdrive pullied cars. Not enough weight in the balancer to dampen the harmonics properly & the gears shatter.
