are they real.i might be getting a 1998 saleen cobra but ive never heard of them before.he claims they are very rare.does anyone know of a website where i might be able to research them.thanks.

They are. A few members here have had them. They were made in very limited production. You can call Saleen Industries in Irvine to verify if the car was actually a real Saleen build.

They do have cobra saleens. I think a member on these boards has Lizstick Red cobra saleen vert. It's rare but not so rare that people will completly drop their jaws. Just get the Saleen ID number and I'm sure that will be enough.

They're very real, since 1996 there have been a total of 128 cars made, 35 in 1998.
Before you buy it get the VIN and the Saleen number off either the engine bay plaque the dash plaque or the bumper and call Patty at Saleen to verify it. With so few cars made you are more likely to find a clone then a real one.

they do exist and they are pretty sweet but only a hand full built per year they did them.
