Most forums have settings where the users can turn off the sig feature if they do not want to have them viewable/slowing down the system. You can also set a signature size limit (say 250x500 as an example).
I also vote for the secret page to make a come back, it was a fun hidden feature of the site.
Please bring back some of the features from the old days!

this forum is using a way older format, they would ahve to redo the entire site just to get those features.
