Who out here has a Plasma Flat Screen tv and if so how big is it? What brand and how much did you pay for it and where from? I'm interested in getting one, my dad has a 42" at his house and they're pretty nice. Let me know.

I purchased a Vizio P50HDM (50" Plasma) from Costco for $2499. I've had mine for about two months and am very content with it. It is very inexpensive for the size and it actually has some pretty good reviews. I would definetely recommend one. Maxent also makes a pretty decent 50" Plasma which is comparable to the Vizio for the same price. If you don't want to go cheap, then go Panasonic, hands down. JMO...

I would also advise purchasing from Costco because their return policy is awesome! If you don't like, return it for a full refund. Or if you do like it, and you want to upgrade in a few months, return it for a refund, then pay the difference for the upgrade.

Check out www.avsforum.com for alot of feedback on various display units.

Good luck!

I've never been a fan of the Philips. Of anything. Panasonic/Pioneer and Sony have hands down some of the best ones out there. Samsung is close.. and Mitsu is definitely up there. (I used to sell this dumb stuff too as a part time job)

If you have any questions... I've been out of the game for almost 2 years, but I can still help you out.

btw, I'm a big fan of the DLP's. If you aren't restricted by the whole "wall mount" method.

The Vizio's from Costco are a good bang for the buck value and the 50", as mentioned above, is getting great reviews.

42" Phillips Hd from Costco $1899. Will be returning this weekend. Great T.v, except for the speakers. I'm returning it because my brother is going through a divorce and selling me his 50" plasma Panasonic $4000+ T.v. for $1000. Thank you Costco return policy [patriot]

For a cheap panasonic you can buy this one.
http://www.visualapex.com/plasma/Plasma_details.asp?chPartNumber=TH-42PWD8UK&MFR=Panasonic
Same one I have. The only down side is there is no built in tuner or speakers. Most people use a home stereo system for speakers and either a cable box or satelite receiver anyways.

I got the Panasonic a few model higher. 42" I talked the guy down to 1600. Has a great picture for the price. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7006134&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat33900050026&id=1099392081954

I didn't get it at Bestbuy. I got it at Philco off of Sunrise.

Thanks you guys keep posting up those plasma's. I think I'm going to take Misled's advice and wait till Summer to purchase one, I'll probably go with a 42 inch. I think that's big enough They usually go for about 1500 or a little more I take it. Thanks
