I have a brand new kicker comp VR 12 or CVR 12 it is the same thing the 2005 model. Model is dual 4ohm model. These sell for around 150 but i wanna sell it for $125. PM me if you are insterested. heres some info on it.
The newly redesigned for 2005 CompVR series subs takes KICKER technology and pounds it into a cutting-edge bass machine, making it the best-sounding round sub available. With know-how dating back to the legendary Competition subwoofer, the new CompVR's reach a new level of performance with redesigned components to take more abuse. The CompVR’s dual voice coil and overall motor structure has been beefed up altogether to withstand more heat and put out more power! The same high-temperature wire used in premium Solo-Baric voice coils are now integrated in the CompVR subs, while the motor’s top plate has taken on a more efficient design as well, among other improvements. A ribbed Santoprene® surround attaches this amazing motor to an injection-molded cone that is ready for some serious SPL. Distortion in the cone is totally eliminated with new back bracing and an aluminized coating. The new CompVR series will give you great bass response in a sealed or ported enclosure. With either setup, you’ll captivate the ears, and with the revised and robust cosmetics, you’ll also turn some heads. The silver-coated, stamped-steel basket is surrounded by a sharp logo trim piece that serves a dual purpose — it strengthens the surround completely while making an edgy design statement. Spring-loaded push terminals and perimeter venting are only a couple of KICKER standards that finish the picture. All CompVR models have dual ultra-length voice coils for ultimate wiring flexibility — 2-ohm DVC models let you run at 1 or 4 ohms, while 4-ohm DVC models allow 2-ohm or 8-ohm operation.
Features
Injection Molded Polymineral Cone with ISD (Inverted Structural Dome). High performance composite remains rigid, minimizes cone flex and lowers harmonic distortion. The CompVR’s cone consists of a unique one-piece, aluminum vapor-deposit material that moves as a light weight piston, exhibiting power and control.
Spring-Loaded Nickel Plated Terminals. Flawlessly connect medium to heavy gauge speaker wire to the high power tinsel lead wires.
Double Stitched Surround. Adds a mechanical fastener to the chemical adhesives, preventing the cone and surround from separating in the harshest conditions.
Rear Cone Brace. Integrates into the CompVR’s cone with a continuous contact perimeter weld, which offers unmatched strength and resistance to deformation under pressure.
Optimized Polyfoam Ribbed Surround Radius. Allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL.
High-Temp Polyimide Film Voice Coil Former. Improves sonic and conductive properties, and prevents thermal-electrical meltdown.
Dual Ultra-Length Voice Coils. Sustains enormous cone excursion and provides flexible impedance matching options.
Sleeved High-Power Tinsel Lead Wires. Eliminates broken leads and power loss, due to the common use of “insufficient-gauge” lead wires. The lead wires are terminated with polymer-based strain relieving mechanical fasteners.
New Enhanced BAM (Basket and Motor) Assembly. Utilizes a high strength steel basket, features a low-profile open design, and provides a solid foundation for the precision aligned motor assembly.
Perimeter Venting in the BAM. Relieves pressure from under the spider, supports a linear excursion, and helps dissipate heat from the voice coil and motor structure.
One-Piece Uniplate™ with Vented Hyper-Extended Blackened Pole Piece and Backplate.
Optimizes heat transfer efficiency for cooler operation and maximum power handling ability.
Eliminates erratic magnetic flux from the voice-coil gap.
Releases pressure under the suspension for uniform cone movement and responsive low bass.
Prevents the voice-coil from bottoming corresponding damage.
