Talked with Cole today & we decided to start doing basic bolt-ons & other work aside from out bullet proof motors.
As long as it's a Mustang, we'll work on it. Supercharger installs, pulley installs, longtubes, you name it.
You still gotta call ahead of time & setup an appointment with Cole though. (916)643-2291
In case some didn't know, we also do 5.0's now.
Speaking of 5.0's....
If anyone is interested in a street/strip fully built 350+RWHP 306, give me a call. Labor for any 5.0 longblock build is $1200. That includes machinework & assembly. Parts extra. Installation avialable also at an additional charge. Cost for parts on this longblock is about $5000 including block, crank, heads, intake, cam (custom), lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, rods, pistons (custom), oil pump, timing chain, rings, bearings, etc. Parts such as TB, mass-air, fuel system, exhaust, etc not included. 400+RWHP strokers also available. NO, these setups will NOT pass smog. Smogable setups also available, but will not produce as much power.

Yup their 4.6L work is some of the best I have seen in the bay area. APEX referred me to them a long time ago, after I saw them on 5.0 Mustang Magazine with their "MONGOOSE DOHC Intake". My DOHC and 2 other SOHC cars that were built by HCI put out over 500RWHP at Force Fed Performance in March. My A/F ratio was bad when it hit 508.5 RWHP cause of the small injectors. Either way HCI does amazing work with the mod motors and now the 5.0's.

How much would it be for H/C/I, fuel and airflow parts, and labor for putting it on? Thinking AFR 165s, some kind of cam, and an edelbrock RPM.. Please let me know, thanks.

Damn, didn't know I could now reply to this thread! Sorry for the delay guys!
Chirag, yes we specialize in the 4.6....& 5.0's now that I'm there.
stoauto, yep, $1200 for labor to machine & build. Unless it's something like an R302 or Dart block...those take a little more time at the machine shop & would cost more. Decking any block would also be extra. The machine work is bore, hone & balance the rotating assembly.
Rob, PM me with specifics....like whether you want to use the stock bottom end or not...what you're looking for power wise, etc. ALL 5.0 stuff goes through me.

Don't know the specific break-down. I do know that assembly alone would be $800 (10 hours labor). But, if all the machine work was under say $500 we probably wouldn't charge extra....it'd just come out of the assembly price.
Oh....if you went with good quality parts (H or I beam rods, quality forged pistons, etc) we warrantee the motor for 1 year. Of course, not if it throw's a rod due to poor tune (we can see detonation tracks when we tear down a motor) or pushing the motor behond what it's limits are. Like 600RWHP in a stock production 302 roller block.

LOL Not even moderators of the site are getting discounts. Matt's (9Cobra8) car is at our shop right now awaiting a new motor.
Wich I could give out discounts....but we gotta make a living! Our prices are actually reasonable considering the work & expertise involved.

Bud Walmer (SP?) is an old racer buddy of Coles. He owns a machine shop & we have him do our machining. He buys specific tooling JUST for our motors. The 4.6 heads have specific machining needs (tooling) that no other motor requires. We have the balancing done at Rex Hutchinson Racing. It's mainly a chevy shop, but they have top-notch balancing equipment. 4.6's are internally balanced so the process is a little more involved then a 5.0 pushrod motor. We'd had very good service from both shops for years now.

Sorry I haven't checked this thread in a while.
10-12 hours labor is about what it would take. Thats $800-$960 total. If it takes less, we'll charge you less. If it takes more, we'll stand by this online quote. (that's assuming there's no inter/aftercooler) PM me if you're interested.
Dave, the intake *looks* good....but who can say till it's on a motor & running. I have no doubt it'd be great for boost....but N/A is a totally different animal when it comes to intakes. Keep me posted on what you do. -Shaun
