Looking for a good road race inspired street tire. Looking for 245-40-17 or 255. Planning on using as front tires only since this will used for drifting. All experainced opinions welcome

Nitto NT01, Pirelli R888, Pirelli RA1, or if you want more of a "street" tire, I'd say Bridgestone Re11 and Hankook RS3.

I've tracked RE11, RE01 (older model of the RE11), and RS3. I have owned cars with NT01, R888, and RA1 tires but never had the chance to take them out on the track.
I honestly REALLY liked the RE11s but they are/were pretty costly...I'd highly recommend the RS3 though. Excellent bang for your buck! [ 2015-05-14, 02:50 PM: Message edited by: SydeWaySix ]

I've tracked re01r, re11, rs3, v12 evo's, nt05, and nt01.
If you want ultimate grip, you can't beat an r-comp like the nt01 or r888. The bridgestone's are a good middle ground tire that is more street friendly (not as loud, doesn't follow grooves on freeway, works OK in rain, etc)

Not ever plan on spending big money on the rear tired since their gonna go up in smoke, but deffiantly want sticky tires up front for my sideways street shananigans and track days
