I'm installing one right now on an '03 cobra. There's an electric fan on top of the core which is mounted off the rear bumper. It could be adapted to a stick axle car as well. Just thought I'd share if anyone is thinking about doing one [ August 17, 2005, 11:47 PM: Message edited by: mtbaughs ]

Yep it is the kenny brown one which is majorly over priced and lacks several items needed for a complete install. We kept boiling the fluid in the rear on the track towards the end of the day and now that the torsen is in there we want to make sure it stays together. I actually priced out all the items minus the electrical and that total's $444 my cost minus the electric fan. In talking with many people the fan on the heat exchanger isn't doing a whole lot. According to a couple ford engineers about 99% of the benefit is the added oil capacity the cooler provides. Kenny Brown's cooler comes with no electrical and chimes in just below $2000. I don't work for a mustang shop anymore. You can find all the items needed for the kit online with a simple yahoo search

The correct question, is what isn't being done.

well, he stayed late, cause someone Fucked my rearspacer up to being with during the gear install (ill keep names on the DL, i might hear crying later). my wheel wouldnt go back on, so he had to shave my spacer bends to help make my WHEEL go back on! haha and he watched ME reinstall my catback. he didnt want to do it, so i did my own labor. plus, i had to get my rear seal fixed, cause someone didnt lubricate it, and my rearend leaked quite a bit. so...ya...ill save the rest, cause i can keep going on that..i have more to tell most of this is on the wildhorses messageboard already.. but, the main plus from my rearend work at apex was, no Whining gears. dave set the gears in properly, and i broke them in the right way. 2 goods made a right

Well we won't get into details, like that you had brought your own parts in, and they sat in your trunk for months... Cack. (PS.. PM coming your way)

sorry bro, my dad even looked at the seals, and they were fine...seals wont go bad in a trunk....especially when they were sealed 4x. they were fine, just installed wrong, but no biggie! it's fixed now, and better then ever. i am happy that the gears dont whine. that was the main thing!!

Yep, plenty. I have been buying my new rearend stuff slowly for months. I have had all of it except studs for at least two months. And no, I bought my own stuff. See if you new me a bit better, I buy little parts when I can then do one project at a time. Hence why its taken 3+ years to get what it is now. Hell I got more brand new and used parts than most speed shops do. Just takes time for me to get it all in, and time is what I lack.
