I will be there. Most likely spectating and trying to hijack other cars for drives, as I have some rear caliper issues.

No sh*t, it doesn't look good... If it doesn't go down to 30% or less chance of rain, then I'm not going, unfortunately
I'm really looking forward to my first track event of the year. Sunday afternoon, I swapped brake pads and put on my slicks (nothing like beating on/off knock-offs with a big lead hammer , and put on my meatballs (static-cling, 'cause magnetic ones don't stick to f'glass . Installed the camcorder mount. Just gotta tape up the headlights, and safety wire up my wheels, and I'm ready to rock'n roll.
Rain, rain, go AWAY!!!
See ya, Randy R...

I will be there regardless of weather. Reason 1: I have to retrieve the truck and trailer we left up there last weekend.
Reason 2: I have an invitation from my Chico ladies.

When is the Knotts show? I do not know what the deal is with Kooks and the headers, I would have expected them by now. I know we have about 10 sets on order.

I'm kinda new here.
I'll be heading to Redding on Friday to check out a Mustang at an Allstate Insurance then to the track for Sat. open track. May come back up on Sunday, not sure yet.

Yeah, but you've got a roof and windsheild wipers ;-)
If I don't see you, have a good time!

well crap, now it's 70% precipitation Sat and 60% Sun....I haven't done an event in the rain so it should be interesting. At least my arm wont get tired pointing people by. The rain will reduce my hp disadvantage (GT's stock motor), plus I got ABS. [ April 10, 2003, 12:20 PM: Message edited by: kpl ]

Kevin, T-Hill is actually a fairy good track in the rain. Only real problem can be inner apex of turn 6, which floods in heavy rain. Other than that the track drains really well and can be driven at a good pace with grooved tires. I unfortunetly won't be able to attend. I had found some water in my oil after an event back in Feb, but decided it was just condensation. So changed the oil and ran T-hill a couple weeks ago. Long story short...it wasn't condensation and glad I had used the trailer.

So much for the track event. Raining kinda hard ain't it. I was up at Squaw Valley today and well White Out. I figured that it must be pouring at Thunder Hill. My girl friend's dad is glad he didn't pay the $500.00 to go, no refund He has a '65 Shelby GT350 that he usually takes to the Shelby events (he is a member) but he is saving his money for his "new" '68 Shelby GT500 he just bought [ April 12, 2003, 10:29 PM: Message edited by: Roush97 ]

Well, I was up there. We didn't take the race cars out of the trailer because it was raining too much for no windows, and I didn't want to clean them. I focused my efforts on customer care.

rokcrln- funny, I was on the bridge about the same time you took that pic.
Stan- too bad about the motor, hope you get out on the track again soon.
Overall I had a good time. Stan's right about the track draining well except for T6. I didn't get around the paddock between sessions and instead focused on staying dry, which unfortunately ment sitting in the car. Couldn't put up the canopy due to the wind, plus it was too damn cold to be outside for any length of time.
Cosmo - Doesn't NASA AI/AIX run in the rain or are they like NASCAR? [ April 15, 2003, 01:19 PM: Message edited by: kpl ]

Kevin, NASA does indeed run in the rain, but if I am not risking my racecars for a play day. If we are not scoring points, they don't come out in the rain.
