Hello everyone I'm looking for a Ford 9" rear end to put in my 1967 mustang. However I'm not sure how to distinguish the ford 8" and 9". Someone is selling me this rear end but I'm not sure if it's a 9" if anyone can help I would appreciate.

No problem.. have a 9in from my 70 I'm slowly getting parts for rebuild...
Could always get a explorer 8.8 have the tubes welded and 8.8 t/a cover..rebuild position and cones with 3.73 gears and disk brakes..add ss brake lines hawk blues and done.. and add leaf spring mounts
Just center section for mine is 1400 new gears, posi, forged parts..then 550 for axels, dual cobra rear brake setup 1300(powdercoatin/ rebuilt, ss lines and hawk pads rotors) then adding fill and drain plug with back brace and tcp torq arm mounts welded 200-300.. And another 150 for misc bolts gaskets ect
Then rims to fit 1400..

I have a 8.8 but I have not installed it in the mustang. Any advice in how to install the rear end. I've read that there is an issue with the offset any help would be great.
