Can anyone tell me if i can bend (a little) the hard brake line that comes from the caliper? I installed coilovers, one issue im having is the brake line (rubber hose part) is too close to the coil...not touching it but im not comfortable with it sitting that close.
Also, i read up on the brake line bracket mod from MM. but i dont see how you can move the brake line rearward 1” if its a hardline tubing and doesnt budge after i removed the clip and hold down bolt.
Anybody who put in a MM coilover kit (front) please chime in. I have the kit installed, im just going over my work again (and probably again) to make sure its good before going to the alignment shop. [ 2019-02-25, 09:06 AM: Message edited by: fredfifty ]

you can bend it as much as you need, just be careful that the line doesn't kink (pinch) as you do so.
I have a griggs c/o setup on my front with koni struts and have plenty of clearance to the brake lines. I'm sure they're similar.

ok cool, i just wanted to make sure that when i bend it, the line doesnt go soft and break. that would suck.

you wouldnt happen to know what the torque is for that top nut, wouldya? and how would you torque that nut down anyway??

Mine are the double adjustable koni, so a little different but honestly I just set my ridgid impact gun on full power and hammered it a little past where it stopped spinning. [ 2019-02-26, 08:48 AM: Message edited by: Blind ]

Another issue im having after install is the inside sidewall of the tire is making contact with the coil spring and lower spring perch (when the lower spring perch is lowered down, and under load)...if i raise the lower spring perch so that it sits above the tire, its all good. i dont think that should be the case. i am thinking my ball joints need to be replaced (they look worn).
Could that cause the tire to lean in towards the CO and make contact? if so, thats another thing ill need to replace before taking my car in for an alignment...

You'll probably need to get wheel spacers to fix the rubbing problem.
For bending the brake lines, a line bender is super cheap and will be pinch free.
Another option is to have a custom steel braided line made and replace the hard line altogether.

I was able to use a bit of force to move the hard line brake line rearward to seat in the nearby pre-existing mounting hole on the chassis (for the brake hose bracket mounting tab). Passenger side was harder for some reason with the fuel lines running on the passenger side. So i got that cleared up but im thinking to go MM steel braided brake lines.
As far as that lower spring perch contacting the tire, i will probably go with .25” wheel spacers up front.

An alternative would be different length c/o springs, they make them in a bunch of different lengths
