So, apparently these intakes are NOT california smog legal... but up til about 2014/5.. they shipped with a piece of paper proving they were, and they have a stamp on them...
Anyone have one lying around? Lol.
Longshot, I know.
Otherwise the cobra intakes are going back on the car to smog it. Joyous.

I saw all that.. the issue I guess is, the intakes WERE under review.. then the EPA stepped in and wanted E.brock to pay back taxes on every single one they had already sold in order to get the 50 state... so they yanked it.
As of now, without a sticker, or any stamped EO # on the intake, the shop won't touch it. I had to have MSD, BBK, and AFR all send me shit to stick under my hood.... smfh.
I know it has all the smog shit.. and both edelbrock techs I talked to said it'll pass.. no prob.. but the shop simply won't do it, and I need it done lol.
There aren't any other places here, so i'm not sure what to do.

Would work if my intake were on there, haha.

Has to be a STAR station, and only 3 of them here. 1 down. 2 to check still.

You can make a small trip and smog at any STAR station in the state.

That happened to me a few years ago. I just went to the smog ref. If your car is all legit just make an appointment fith the ref. The smog check is free all you pay is the certificate.

A shop wouldn't know the intake is aftermarket if you put on a plenum cover with out the Edelbrock logo. Take it to a shop that smogs Hondas all day. They won't know what an old stock Ford engine looks like.

I had that intake. Yes you can get it to pass if you go to the ref and use the documentation that Martinna mentioned. They won't like it, but if you can PROVE that the intake is the one you say it is, they will have to consider it. You'll have to find the cast #s on the upper and lower and show the ref. I think it's 7882 or something like that. it will work, but you just have to have all the info.
