Anyone have a recommendation to have a 9 inch center section rebuilt in the Bay Area? Looking to have new bearings and the trac-lock clutches replaced.

Do you have the time and desire to do it your self? It's not that hard. The tools to do it yourself cost less than the labor.

Not yet. I've been so busy at work and with other projects, I just haven't devoted a lot of time to this yet. So far, I've torn it down and bought a disc brake setup for it. That's about it.

Did you ever get this done?
I'm currently getting a Moser M9 Fabbed housing with TruTrac POSI and sealed bearings in Sacramento at Jaws Gear and Axle.
It's not the bay area but are a very reputable shop.

Yeah, actually I should be picking it up from the Rear End Shop next week. Ended up going with a TruTrac as well.

I'm fighting a losing battle for work space in my garage. Just when I get it cleared out so I can work on it, my wife brings more shit home, or moves old shit out of the house into the garage and the cleaning cycle starts all over. Someday I will get this car done, but that day is not today.

Got room for a shed on the side of your house? Throwing what you don't often use in a shed can open up a lot of room to wrench on car projects.
