Looking to do a 351w build for my drift svo, i want to make around 450ish hp NA on a budget, id perfer to keep it efi. I just toasted a 308 i had with done up gt40 heads and anderson cam. Ran great up until KABOOM, let me know from experience whats a good reliable CHEAP set up. Thanks!

You can get a basic stroker kit for around $1100 hyper pistons steel crank.. or one with forged pistons for around $1300, get some AFR 205cc heads and Edelbrock super EFI intake or trickflow r series...your going to spend a minimum of 4k.. pm if you need help finding the parts and I can send you links

To piggyback off the OP question, can this be done to have it pass the sniffer during smog time? Not so much worried about the visual.

I think it should be able to pass as long as your heads, headers , intake , throttle body cold air intake have carb #s..and the cam is custom grind and request it to have specs to be able to pass. Size of engine shouldn't really matter.

I currently have a stock block HCI + supercharged setup making around 460rwhp so I'm looking to make similar power on a new build. I think my motor finally gave up and I'm thinking going NA might be a better alternative since I'm looking to do a couple track days a year.
I just hate dealing with smog.
