I'm close to getting my motor back from the shop and wanted to know what's the best oil pump I can get. It's a teksid 96 cobra block with forged internals and is good for 900hp. It currently has a Ford Racing pump with 30K on it. Should I get a new one or just keep the Ford Racing one?

Yup I'm going KB 1.5 for now and then Procharger later along the line. It is indeed insurance. Is there a huge difference in the hi flow ford racing pump I have compared to the billet one?

30K is fine for an oil pump. When was the last time you heard of a Ford pump failing?

If you have it, keep it. It will continue to perform

Well I've had a pump that went bad on me recently but it had 110k. I went wrong oil and I guess 10w30 is too thick for these motors
