Whats the best way to lower Hydro Carbons? The car is a 4.6L 2V boosted but I dont know how much boost its pushing. Runs slightly rich but its barely enough for it not to pass. It has iridium spark plugs which I know runs hot but can it be an issue?

I cant post pics but the car has 2 cats and all smog equipment is there just the egr is disconnected. Im going to connect the egr and the NOX will drop i know that. Im just like 60-100 points too high in HC which isnt too bad. Another thing is my cousin smogs my cars so he didnt run it with the actual test. He tested it in pretest mode or whatever. He told me i need cats but the car ran like shit when i got it and its 10 times better with just gapping the iridium plugs. I know iridiums arent supposed to be gapped but it was an experiment that worked. I was getting major spark blowout and it was at 60. Now its at 36 and runs great. Another thing is the intercooler pump is disconnected which i know is another issue.

high HC is caused from cats either not warmed up or not working properly. High NOX is cylinder temps which is something the EGR will help lower.

I know but the car runs a little rich. Just enough for it not to pass. I wish i knew the cutpoint so i could figure out how much exactly is the HC too high. If anybody can check the cutpoint for HC in their smog book if its possible can you post it? It will help big time. The car is a 94 T-Bird with 4.6L and an Allen blower. I dont have a boost gauge so i dont know how much irs pushing

Its got two cats already but they are high flow cats and i dont have the stocks for it. Its got shorty JBA headers too so if i do swap the midpipe ill have to figure out if the stock cats will mount to it. Looks like both sides of the headers have ball collectors or whatever its called.
