I recently installed an F303 cam, 1.6 rockers, gt40p heads and intake, set timing at 14 degrees, has stock maf and 19lb injectors..Car starts good when its cold but after it gets warm and i turn it off and try to turn it back on, it wont start. It cranks good, has spark replaced the control module and still not start, i have to wait for it to cool down to be able to restart it!! I sprayed a little brake clean in the intake and it starts up! Any ideas of what my problem can be? [ 2015-08-26, 06:55 PM: Message edited by: Yuk5.0 ]

How old is the module on the side of the distributor? Usually when those go bad or start to the electronic grease in between the module and distributor has faded away. This is a common issue for the fox 302 distributor. Replace regreace and should be fine. Or your timing is still off, but at 14 degrees it's usually ok.

try using another distributor. if you didn't replace the pickup in the distributor (not the TFI module on the side) then it could still be bad.
ask a buddy with a good disti if you can borrow his try it out and if it is still bad then open the computer and look for damage on the circuit board and look at the capacitors and see if they are bulged or leaking.

By spraying a combustible fluid in the throttle body and getting it to start you may have answered your own question right there. Borrow, rent or buy a fuel pressure gauge, screw it into the fuel rail pressure test port and check cranking fuel pressure when your no start problem is present. 35-40 psi is normal dropping to 30-35 psi when the engine is running.
