I put Mac dumps on my car and noticed my gas tank turned black on the bottom front where it's closest to the muffler. I Looked into it and black means the motor is running rich . Where should I start to fix the problem ? Or what can I do to fix it ? Car has e303, gt40 heads, expl. Intake and Mac shortys, & x pipe.
Thanks in advance!

If you are running an off-road X pipe then that explains it.

What year is it? Have you cleaned the mass air (if equipped)? When have the o2 sensors been changed last? How many miles on the current spark plugs, cap and rotor? What have you changed since the car was running stoichiometric? Do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Check engine light on?

It's a 89. And why would the X-pipe be the problem ? I've gone back to the stock but catless h-pipe .
And one o2 sensor was not connected so I think that's the reason why .

by not having cats, there are a lot of gasses not being burned and can leave those deposits. But I'm sure the o2 sensor was the issue.
