Bought a 306 block that came with an Eagle cast crank and "sir" I-beam connecting rods. What piston would you guys recommend? Setup will have tw 170 heads 60cc w/ 1.6 rr and a stage 1 trick flow cam. I plan on going with a supercharger & custom cam later down the road. So I would like to build it to accommodate the charger.

depends on your budget....DSS sells a decent forged piston for round $350...

You'd be about 10.87:1, not blower friendly

Or these at 9.4:1

They also make a piston to put you in the 8:1 range for boost, would be pretty lame motor without the blower though.

Would the (9.4:1 compression) piston be my best option? Don't want the motor to be too slow with out the blower.

If I'm trying to stay smog legal does this affect the amount of boost I can run?

I'd go with the 9.4 piston or skip the blower and do the high compression piston. I don't know how much boost your planning. 6-7lbs would be fine with the 9.4.
I'm sure you'll get more opinions on here. Also do some research on what your end goal is, power goals, etc.
