my 04 gt is making a very similar noise, its one of my cats though. my noise was a little quieter than that though. transmission shouldnt really make noise unless youre moving. yours sounds horrible though, possibly a rod knock/spun bearing

if aftermarket crap like bassi catted x/h pipe most likely it took a shit on you. (parts in cats came loose)
