It depends on which dyne you use. The mustang Dyno will break your hart. People come in all the time for DYNO DAY and leave very disappointed. Bellow is the HEART BREAKER IN THE FLESH!!

$500 for a good tune + equipment, get whatever the tuner uses and recommends.

Mph & cars weight through the drag strip calculator will give true hp numbers but between the 2 different dynos the mustang dyno is more accurate in my opinion.

That is why i chose a MUSTANG. We call it the HEART BREAKER. On DYNO DAY cars owners come with the attitude there cars are going to make tuns of HP. They leave with broken hearts. There is many formulas to calculate Hp and 1320 numbers and our DYNO can be used to do 1320 runs. The formula includes weight and other factors including reaction time. It is fun to do those pulls and not have the thrill of the car not moving down the strip WEIRD AT BEST Even has a TREE. Making lets say 1000 HP on lets say a dynojet will be somewhere around 900-920 on a mustang. naturally a lower HP car will not have as much of a spread.and the torque values will also be much more accurate. Sounds like fun! Had My stang on a mustang dyno located by the I concord airport about 5 years ago but after 2 runs of my car bogging I called it a day. How accurate have you found the numbers to be for the 1/4 mile?

Fairly accurate. But the fun is not there.

So it's fun & not fun at the same time? Bottom line is dyno's are for tuning and the strip is where you see your car's true potential!

Yes to an extent but the DYNE is pretty close using the correct math. It is so true what you said. It is fun but not so much fun. Have a great Holiday my friends.
NOTE the dyne does not take in to account reaction time or driving ability. It only tells you how you are going with the HP you have accomplished or lost. Thanks. [ 2014-07-03, 05:42 PM: Message edited by: Tom Renzo ]
