Time has come to get more power out of my car. Used to have an 01 cobra before and miss it and have been thinking about swapping the engine into my 02. Should I swap a 99-01 cobra motor, vortech s trim or procharger kit into my car? Which is best for an engine with 100k miles and has never been modded except for CAI. All three cost about the same used minus labor costs
Budget is 3K give or take. [ 2014-04-13, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: RSA-Mustang ]

Nothing like a lil bit of boost imo. I vote for the vortech!

I personally like prochargers just because of the fact that its intercooled.. but a vortech is way easier to install. Either way, go with the boosted setup!

Both are going to be the same to install, Youll have to tap the pan for the vortech though. All prochargers come intercooled yes. But you can buy a cheap intercooler that will still make good power for the vortech.
I like vortech's though. You can buy a cheap S trim, spend a few hundred bucks and have it upgraded to the SI and put down great power.

They also make V3 series Vortechs that no oil pan tap is need just to throw it out there.

I appreciate all of the suggestions! Keep them coming, so far vortech is the cheapest and easiest setup to get from the kit currently on sale.
