Iam getting a loud chatter noise from rear of 2001 gt. Clueless on what it could be.I have changed all my shocks and the springs are not touching metal. I had a loose break line bracket which I thought was the issue but no, also a cross threaded bolt holding my sway bar in on the right side which I replaced with factory bolts and nuts ordered from latemodelrestoration.com! I still hear the chattering noise when driving. When my car is just sitting but on there's no noise but as soon as I start to drive it's present. Please any help or suggestions would be great.

It sounds like u need to change the rear end fluid and add friction modifier. Does it start chattering under acceleration?

If it sounds kind of like a grinding/chattering noise that's what it is. Very easy to take care of it.

More of just a loud chattering. No grinding. I changed the rear fluid about 7 months ago but no friction modifier.

Changed fluid and added the modifier. This helped alot. Also got the car on a rack and seen some exhaust issues.
