First dont know much about pushrods was work on my 96gt/97 cobra powered for the last 4 years and had this in storage 96gt is gone and need this running
THIS FOR A 351W NOT 302
So i am wanting to replace my edelbrock performer intake due to some corrosion i found while changing a blown head gasket.and was seeing if it was worth putting an rpm or airgap intakes, on my stock heads(springs arent stock)
also just trying to get a decent used one and not trying to build this engine will be getting another 69/70 block for a 408 n/a build but thats a 2year or more build.
current mods: Msd coil, ready run dizzy,wires,6al(not installed). Edelbrock- performer intake, water pump, mech fuel pump, holley street advenger 670cfm carb. Kn 13x3 filter and kn xstream lid and a 1inch drop base Longtube headers-unknown brand , straight pipes 2.5 to spintech mufflers (prostreets 6000) side exit before rear tire Fresh grabatrack suspenion and tcp subframes/center section.
Unknowns : cam, and stall trans is orginal fmx rear is org 3.00 open Springs on head where not stock.last owner said the owner before him rebuilt the motor with eddy cam, performer intake and eddy 600cfm carb.i added everything else Again this is for a 70 351w

Get the air gap if you can fit it under the hood.

Airgap wont fit unless i cut a hole in the hood. or use drop mounts and a few other mods.

I had to use a regular performer on mine with some mods to be able to close my hood. I feel your pain! Those performers are very rough castings, a dremel can go a long way to open the ports on the intake. Still restrictive but better than leaving it as cast. The ports on my intake were not even the same size or shaped right. I took as much as a 1/4 inch of metal out on some of the ports I opened up.
