Topic: Oil cooler on a 96 cobra

So I just purchesed a 1996 cobra off a member here on ca fords nd from what I have seen from the car there is no water in oil/motor at all but has oil in my overflow resavor Iv done some resurch nd says that the oil coolers is a real comen part to go out in cobras so would like to kno or get a few ideas on how to fix it I've heard I can just delete the oil cooler not shur if possible nd also have heard I can replace with a mark 8 oil cooler so would like to get a few tips from u modular people I'm new tho the 4v Thanx ill take any help I can get...

^ I told the guy you bought the car from to start with the oil cooler and see if it takes the oil out of the coolant resevor..he said the car did not get hot nor did it have a miss so I doubt it's the head gaskets..I would do a cylinder leak down and compression check all while I swapped out the oil cooler just to make certain that everything is good,welcome to the 32v world man your gonna love it ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Yea Thanx man I was going to start wit oil cooler nd then go from there but a compression check would do some good to see how healthy the motor is so is it bad to delete the oil cooler

Technically its not a cooler, It acts more like a oil warmer.. More of an emissions thing..Mach1's dont have them... ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)
