Its cheaper, and it does the same thing as the saleen intake. Now days people want $700-$1500 for the saleen intake when you can get a holley for 450-500.

Does anyone know if I can get a holley systemax lower and combine it with the saleen intake and if it actually flow better than the saleen lower?

the saleen used a stock like lower that was restrictive on some of the runners so with outwelding and a lot of port work u can just buy the holly lower and use the sallen upper, both uppers are so close there cousins, so its your preference.

Why would I have to weld it? Do I HAVE to port it in order to use the holley lower?

to fix the restrictive runners on the stock lower saleen uses. it cant be just ported, material has to be added to port in the right areas.

Damn with all that time and money might as well get a holley then??

yes. its really like a thing if u already got a rare saleen or vorteck intake then why not spend another couple hundred to make it flow as gd as a holly but a holly looks almost as gd, again its preference but the saleen lower is restrictive on 1 or 2 runners
