Will a stock 87-93 seat bracket fit on an aftermarket seat? I don't like the bracket it has now and want to change it and like how the stock one is. Thanks

I have some aftermarket seats waiting to be put into my 91. the problem i have is that the bolt pattern for the new seat is wider than the o.e. seat rails. i have some flat plate metal that i have holes drilled out to match the pattern of both the seat and the o.e. rails. The issue I have is that they raise the seat up by about 2 inches, which makes my head touch the headliner.

I can weld or cut or drill holes out here at work..mines too, the seat does goes up closer to the headliner. Hope you figure it out
