Okay guys have a 98 mustang gt 5 speed , and have only drove a few times since purchase. So I tried launching first gear lightly and tried to shift 1-2 pretty quick and was met with a kkkkhhhh (grind) so I then babied her into the gear , and went up to about top of 3rd. I then notice slipping in 5th gear on highway when floored, and slipping wen driving hard. And of course grind in 1-2 but only when trying to powershift, no pop outs or grinds in any other geats hoping just my clutch... what do you guys think

well if all that is true then I'm not very happy at all, I plan on doing either full pi swap and or pi motor swap maybe around tax time and a rebuild was not in the plans smh. I knew I needed a clutch but was hoping it was not the synchos... and I didn't get it nearly cheap enough the problems im running into

T45s are cheap cause they are pieces of shit. For the money your going to put on a rebuilt T45 your better of buy a low miles TR3650 (03-04) GT transmission. Way better for your PI swap too. If I remember right they are rated at 360 ft/lb

late 01+ had tr3650, but they have a tsb for syncros too lol, if you get one (tr3650) add either gm syncromesh or royol purple syncromesh
