I have a deal on a wrecked foxbody. I wanted to get a 65 mustang and possibly swap that into it. Would this work?

64-66 mustangs are narrower. Gotta chop the tubes down, new shorter axles, weld new mounts. It can be done. I went with a currie crate 9", seemed to be the better deal for me.

Why are you doing an 8.8 swap? Is it because you want a cheap posi or is it because you want to switch from a 6-cyl to a V8?

inline 6 to v8. my grandpa has a friend with a great 65 with a 3 speed. I recently started going to infineon but the deal is too good to pass up so my grandpa wants to take a wrecked fox body and swap the powertrain into it. If the axle is truly a bad idea ill throw the idea out. But if you think it could work well its worth a shot.

well worth it, folks are compareing the 8.8 to be as strong as the 9 inch, regardless its close or better for a great rear end, plus posi gear selection is all cheaper for teh 8.8, and disc brakes is only a cafords account away for again cheap. i got a guy that narrows those for a direct replacement with axles for 500 bucks. or from aje u can buy a supporting brace that will make your rear end a true bolt in with upper and lower control arms, thats nice! the newer offset wheels are kind nice
