My 02 GT just hit 98K and it isn't picking up speed like it used to. I do have Saleen intake and I will be switching back to magnaflow catted x pipe after smog. Should I get a tune up at a local shop or buy a handheld tuner? Both will cost about the same from what I could find so far. My issue is that car doesn't accelerate like it used to and is slow to pick up under full throttle.
Thanks caFords!

A tuner would just band aid your problem. Complete tune up first.

Throw some gears in it and wake it up,a stock Gt with an Intake shouldn't need a tune at all,a tune-up yes maybe but no tune is really necessary.. [ 2013-09-16, 12:08 PM: Message edited by: SIC9250 ]

like sic9250 said intake alone wouldnt need a tune n it sounds like just cause you switched mid pipes for smog it feels sluggish. (could just be a mind trick lol)since its not as loud... throw some gears in it and wake it up but then you'll need the tuner to fix the speedo
