I am ordering parts for Advanced Auto to install on my 91 LX 5.0 AOD and wanted to get feed back on which parts to order and what else I need to get for proper installment...

Which Sub frame connectors would you guys recommend: http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-subframe-connectors-7993.html

Is this all I need for installing rear gears and a shift kit?

• 4.10 gears: http://www.americanmuscle.com/410-gear-oil-kit-8613.html

• Speedo and odometer accuracy (Speedometer gear): http://www.americanmuscle.com/speedo-gear-20tooth-auto.html

• Speedo and odometer accuracy (transmission gear): http://search.americanmuscle.com/search?query=53652&vwcatalog=mustangtuning

• Shift Kit: http://www.americanmuscle.com/performance-automatic-shift-kit-8393.html

Am I missing anything, do I need to order other parts?

I would go with MM or Maier racing for the subframe connectors.

the mm subframe connectors work really well. But if budget is an issue, almost any of those connectors on that link will provide you much better support for your setup.

Look into a Baumann Shift kit. Cheaper, and very well liked. I chose it, and its actually a very decent kit, looks like less work and pieces than the PA kit. And also very well written instructions, and customer service. look them up, www.becontrols.com

I just ordered everything in this thread! I'm also picking up a used Magnaflow catted X-pipe.

Everything should be installed within the next 2 or 3 weeks!!!

Can't wait... thanks for all your input.

If your still running a auto, you are going to need a converter to take advantage of those gears. At least a 2200 stall. You only want to get a weld in sub frame connector. Bolt on ones suck, they like to oblong the mounting bolts holes. Weld in are 10x better. Also get one that braces the floor plan under the seat.

MM comes with the braces playboy. About the auto stuff I don't know I have absolute no idea about auto besides it shifts itself. LOL

Update...

* Car is still at the shop (advanced Auto), should be ready for pick up today or tomorrow, but probably won't be able to pick it up until Monday

Daniel has been updating me with progress and he ran into a few things that I decided to fix by upgrading as well...

* New radiator

* New Water pump

* Electric Fan

* New rear axles

* Adjusting the timing

Update.

Got all parts installed and here are my thoughts and feelings...

* timing was adjusted to 13/14 degrees

* catted X-pipe reduced the deepness of the Super 44's, which I think sounds better. Not as loud as I thought it would be, but I'm satisfied with the result over the stock H-pipe

* i like how the car picks up much more aggressively from a stop, I can tell a huge difference. It's actually how expected a car like this to pick up in it's stock form (which it didn't initially, hence my needs for the mods)

* love the fun factor of the gears chirping from 1st to 2nd

* I want to say the ride feels slightly stiffer from the sub frames

Overall I'm satisfied with the gains and after the my wedding next month, I'll start figuring out what I'll want to do next.

Just go ahead and start the HCI parts collection lol ain't nothing wrong with the auto if you drive it everyday.

But if you don't have suspension like springs and struts/shocks if do that
