Topic: get rid of honeycomb on hood scoop

I have an 02 GT drop top and i just added the mach1 grill delete kit which looks great. i want to complete the look my getting rid of that ugly honeycomb on the hood scoop. i have not found any good directions online. can someone direct me or point me in the right direction.

Take the cover off under the hood it has 5 10mm bolts holding it down then Grab vise grips and squeeze the washer holding the comb ad it will release the comb then bolt it back up and done
