Does anyone currently run this peticular fan or in the past? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-185
What are the pros and cons? How is it compared to a 2500 cfm dual set up? thanks.

I have the smaller one N it works great! All you need to do is set it up to kick on at whatever temperature you like N it'll work till it gets you there

Just get a mark 8 fan more cfm for $40-$60, or get a contour fan the pulls roughly the same as the extreme fan.

My set up is a built supercharged 347 making 540rwhp. I was running a flex-a-lite dual set up pushing 2500 cfm but it finally gave out. The 3300 cfm single sounds really promising. I'm also running a mishimoto aluminum radiator.

i bought one used to run on my s/c setup, but the fan is too thick. it interfered with my pulley setup so i'm going to go with a dual contour setup since its thinner.
double check your clearance if you decide to go with it. my thick radiator didn't help the cause either. [ 2013-07-09, 09:25 PM: Message edited by: stangin' ]

I had one and hated it... one loud POS. and took up a lot of room. I went with the Mr. Gasket fans and a nice 4-row radiator

most of the fans I've seen never flow enough air like the OE ones do. dual contour fan seems to be the best way to go!

I got the same motor set up and radiator combo. I went with a duel 10" high Performance fan set up. It was around $450 but it was worth it. The single one"worked" but would let me car get too hot. I hooked it up to turn on automatically with the car and also have a switch inside for drags

It is a great fan, I have absolutely no complaints about the fan itself. As for the controller, that thing is a piece of shit. I had 3 of these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-30332/overview/ replaced by summit under warranty. Finally said screw it and just ran a toggle into the cab. I ended up buying the single black magic fan but havent had time to install it yet. I always run a manual toggle switch too, I don't trust the auto t-stat function at all.
