So the other night, car was running perfect. Did an oil chance (which I believe is completely unrelated) started it up, let it idle a bit and seemed good. Hopped in put it in first and started off. From a start in first it sputtered pretty bad but felt normal once it got going. Shift into second, feels normal till you get around 2,000 rpm and apply any more than half throttle then it cuts out, almost like a miss and backfires. Does the same in every gear. Got it home, it did fine on the FW at 1,700 rpm in 5th. Next morning, pull the rubber boot off the cap and wires, all are new frpp wires except for the coil. I replaced the coil, started it up and it ran for about 20 seconds before cutting out. Haven't been able to start it since. So..... Anybody do house calls in the Lincoln area? Car is mt daily and I have very limited tools at the moment. PM me your price if possible. Thanks CAFORDS. [ 2013-05-24, 09:38 PM: Message edited by: Arch ]

Na, none of those were touched. Went from running perfect to not running and the only thing done was an oil change.
Appreciate the response tho.

That's what I thought at first. But I smell fuel up in the engine compartment after trying to turn it over a bit. Seems like its getting fuel up there.

+2 when i gets hot sometimes it tends to act up a bit. Replace it and your problem should be solved

Won't start in any gear. But before it stopped running, it revved fine in neutral. Only under load there were issues. Idled fine too.

The spark I saw was not proper apparently. I'm a rookie under the hood. Replaced pickup coil in the distributor, problem solved! Thanks for the advice CAFORDS!
Also, mods may want to throw this in tech talk.
