Im building a 351 an was wondering can i go throug it with bigger sprockets an what not would it handle 500+ hp?

Your driving habits are ultimately what will determine the lifespan of a gearbox. If you drive around without powershifting all the time and dumping the clutch at every stoplight then a T-5 will serve you for a good while.

It can coexist with 500hp on street tires just don't slam gears over aggressively or you will kill the synchros in the t5

correct....5k launches and sticky tires kill a T5, not power
let it break loose a little, and keep launches at 3500, and it will last, usually you bust an axle first
