driving "normal" it goes into gear ok... sometimes. but hardly ever if I shift hard. Someone told me this is a sign of it going bad.

The reason it work at low speeds or normal driving and not when you drive hard it that the syncros slow the trans down in between shifts to mesh the gears together with worn out syncros your trans is not slowing down and the gears are being engaged hence "rough or hard shift". Tremec are noted for being rough shifters anyways especially compared to the T5 but it should not take muscle to put it into gear...mine got so bad I broke the bolt holding the shifter before i rebuilt it [ 2013-04-09, 10:11 AM: Message edited by: triple b ]

I have a tremec t3550 and the damn thing isa BITCH to adjust but when u get outta adjustment just a lil bit if you have an adjustable cable fire wall ect. your gunna need to frequently check it to make sure your firewall adjuster doesn't turn on its own...also does it under the car most flustrating shit ive ever dealt with lol
