I got a 306 with ported eddy performers, tfs 2 cam, eddy 2 performer efi intake, accu fab tb, #24 squirters, c&l mass air bbk cold air. I want to put a new cam and heads. So far I gone 104mph 13.7 on slicks horrible 60'. I thinking renegade stage 2 cam and Tf 170cc heads or Afr 165/185 I don't kno what to do. It's a DD

Your combo must be seriously mismatched to run that time on slicks. TFS heads, custom cam, TFS-R intake, 75mm TB, 30# injectors, LT's and an X-pipe. You'll blow your old time out of the water. [ December 25, 2012, 05:20 PM: Message edited by: Greasy ]

Either am I, hardly ever do I race at the track. I was running 13.6 @ 102 on street tires with a cam and intake. Either something seriously is wrong with your combo or you're a horrible driver. [ December 25, 2012, 05:49 PM: Message edited by: Greasy ]

that mph shows only maybe 250-260rwhp assuming your car weighs 3100lbs or so. how Many times have you taken it to the track?? track prep can play a big role, especially in ET. I'm sure there's more mph to be had as well. sounds like you just need more seat time at the track to me.

Yeah I could use some seat time, sub frames torques boxes, and a proportional valve to get a good burnout.... Really tho I want to know what's good for heads Im sold on the custom cam by hitech. My best 60' was a 1.9 and reaction .0333. The thing is I'm consistent 13.7 soo....I'm thinking its the car [ December 25, 2012, 06:45 PM: Message edited by: triple b ]

I would ditch that C&l piece of crap, work on tuning it yourself or have someone else tune it. Somethings not right.

I have red top #30's and a pro m mass air that's needs to be re configured to na....30's need to be cleaned too. I tuned it running at 14 degrees on 91 octane and 1/2-1/4 tank of gas I also have a small dent in the fuel line from a rock or something could that be holding me back? I have extra fule line to but I gotta cut and flair that shit [ December 25, 2012, 08:14 PM: Message edited by: triple b ]

yeah something is definitely wrong there. You should trap 110ish mph. - do you have the 1262 felpro intake to head gasket? - Are the intake Ports gasket matched? I'm wondering if the intake porting job was too aggressive, or maybe the exhaust Port flow was messed with?
- I have a similar setup; eddy perf heads/intake, 70mm tb, and egr, with a B cam, 1 5/8"bbk lts, 3" o/r H pipe, 2 chamber dumps, 3.55 gears, t5, 19# inj, ac del, pullies, full weight '89gt, on street tires, and a bone stock worn out suspension topped out with chopped springs. I pulled a 1.9 sixtey with a12.91 @ 111. Car definitely had more in it too.

How's that tfs-2 sound? U heard a stage-1? Seeing as tho your heads are already ported, i dont thing a diff set of heads will make much off a difference. Maybe u need more cubic inches...
Also might thinkin u have too much cam/intake for that lil 306. Adding some boost to it might be all it needs. That'll IMO pick it up big on the top end. It'll be a freeway monster. Didnt read whole thread, just goin off op
Hows it feel on the low end? Like a slug? [ December 26, 2012, 12:26 AM: Message edited by: 166 Merlot ]

cam and intake that you have is for 331s 347 363s the intake would be fine for a blower cam would not be that great best bet is the cam and possibly TB could also be air fuel mixture since its not tuned mine runs 13.9 with full intake and roller rockers with street tires and 3.08 gears [ December 26, 2012, 12:50 AM: Message edited by: 96stang4.6 ]

shit can that eddy intake,c&l maf as for heads AFR 165's or fly cut your pistons to accomadate a set of AFR 185's with 58cc combustion chambers to bump your compression a bit also get a holley systemax intake and an equivalent throttle body get that pro m and those red tops on there as well and an areomotive FPR and set to an initial 35psi and timing @13 deg and dont waste your money with an alphabet cam that is old technology there is better stuff out there for your money [ December 26, 2012, 01:38 AM: Message edited by: JZTRK ]
