I checked my TPS voltage and it is at .84 - .83 after adjusting as far as i could go...does anybody recommend making the holes where the screws go, any bigger? does it work? will i be able to get in range from where im at now? typical range .98 - .99?

first time doing it fyi...

There should be plenty of room to get in the right range. You might need a new sensor, sounds like your old one is bad.

how about if i do a base idle reset? will that help out adjusting the TPS into range?

Fred its perfectly ok to take a small drill bit and low powered driver and somewhat buzz the wholes to make it more adjustable per say. Only do it sliding wize because if you widen the holes all around the screws won't have nothing to hold on to

Thnx for the tips! Also would the range that my TPS is at now set off a check engine light?

Maybe a low tps voltage (or equivalent) code. Just don't set it any higher than .97??????????? I think

my TPS is currently at .84 would that be considered low? low enough to set off the CEL?

Yes the contacts basically get worn down, usually happens at less than half throttle because that's were the contacts spend most of their time. I have found that 5.0's seem to run the best at tps set at .99 volts
